Wakeup to the fact: Page Ranks need not be your priority anymore 

Google's webmaster trends analyst, John Mueller has confirmed that Google will no longer be updating Toolbar PageRank - its system for ranking web pages based on value. These scores are supposedly not as relevant as they were earlier.

So what are PageRanks and how does it really work?

Pagerank is nothing but a system developed for ranking WebPages according to their value and content.  The easiest method to understand this would be to associate links with votes.  Google's system counts each and every links as votes and the most important pages receive a higher PageRank and have more chances to appear at the top of the search results. 

Now with PageRank toolbar gone, SEO still needs a faithful set of metrics to look at when assessing the trustworthiness of a domain. doodleblue has put together a few alternatives to PageRanks. Take a look at them below!
